A surprising amount of products are made in Orange County. If you really want to live like a local, check out these products you never knew were made in or close to Anaheim:

  • Airborne Systems’ parachutes: The company has manufactured over 10,000 parachutes for the US Army. With 300 employees, the T-11 parachutes are high-quality and often feature American flags.
  • California Accent Lighting Inc.’s lighting fixtures: The company makes 90 percent of its products in Anaheim. Famous for their fluorescent and LED products, you’ll probably see a lot of them in bars and restaurants nearby.
  • Plas-Ties’ bread bag sealers: Carb lovers can give a nod to the local company which makes the machines that twists bread ties at 45 bags per minute. Thanks to the HD38 machine, your favorite bread, snacks, meats, spices, and tortillas are kept fresh.
  • Labeltronix’s food labels: You’ll find one of the top food label makers right in Anaheim. They specialize in “lean labeling,” which is customer-driven for better design and label management. (They’re also popular with wineries!)
  • SureFire’s flashlights: Used by the military, hunters, and law enforcement, these heavy-duty products include the LX2, which retails for $210.
  • Custom Comfort Mattress’ mattresses: With five locations in Orange County and two in Los Angeles, these mattress feature layers, two-sided mattresses, and cotton materials.
  • Thoro’Bred Inc.’s horseshoes: Aluminum wire turns into horseshoes with a high flame. Thoro’Bred is revered by competitive horse trainers around the world, and was opened in Anaheim in 1968.
