Anaheim Greek Festival

anaheim-greek-festival

The annual Orange County Greek Festival celebrates Greek food and culture. The festival features various events related to authentic Greek food, dance, music and wine. You do not have to be Greek to enjoy their delicious food and exciting activities!

Greek Food and Wine

No festival is complete without loads of food and the Greeks are one of the most generous servings in the world! The festival serves a variety of authentic Greek cuisine, with recipes passed down from generation to generation. Feta cheese, moussaka (potato and beef dish), gyros (lamb tacos), calamari (fried squid) and taramosalata (crushed fish egg salad) are just some of the famous dishes served during the festival.

Greek wines such as mavrodafni (dark red wine) and retsina (Greek white wine) are just some of the great Greek wines available for tasting and serving.

Entertainment

During the festival, folk dance groups perform different Greek folk dances throughout the day. Traditional dances such as tsamiko and sirtaki are performed with live music. The California-based Greek band named The Olympians and Friends are one of the main live performers every year.

Greek Fest also features carnival rides, games and other outdoor activities for kids to enjoy. This event also features many booths that sell a variety of Greek products.

Greek Fest 2020

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Greek Fest will be held at the Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Anaheim from October 9 to 11.

Get ready to shout “Opa!” while dancing to live music and tasting various Greek delicacies in the upcoming Greek Fest 2020!
