Patty’s Cake began as a hobby in 1985 for Patty, a single mother of three who enjoyed decorating cakes in her spare time. Over the years, her hobby blossomed into a full-time business that she ran while participating in various community roles, such as Cub Scouts, Assistance League, PTA, and Booster Club President. Patty continued to decorate cakes year after year, dreaming of one day opening her own shop.
In 2010, that dream became a reality when Patty’s middle son, Philip, joined the business as co-owner, handling marketing and business operations. With the help of kindhearted friends and family, a store location was found and transformed into Patty’s Cake. The community quickly embraced Patty’s creative menu of cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts, and positive reviews began pouring in.
In 2016, Patty’s Cakes moved to a new and larger location near the intersection of Commonwealth and Euclid in Fullerton, just 15 minutes from Anaheim. The new space allowed Patty’s Cake to continue thriving and become one of the highest-rated bakeries on major review platforms like Yelp, Google, and TripAdvisor.
Overall, Patty’s Cake is a testament to the power of pursuing one’s passion and the importance of community support. From humble beginnings as a hobby to becoming a beloved bakery with a loyal following, Patty’s Cake is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for delicious and creative desserts.
