Disneyland is famous for their fireworks, and they really go all out for the Fourth of July, but what if you want a more intimate, small-town vibe this Independence Day? Anaheim has you covered, starting with Knott’s Berry Farm’s Fourth of July festivities in Buena Park. Here, you’ll enjoy marching bands and other live performances, fireworks and, of course, all the thrills of the amusement park just minutes away.
Brea also hosts a fireworks extravaganza starting at dusk at City Hall Park. This family-friendly event is free and features a reptile show, petting zoo and kiddie parade, so little ones are guaranteed to have a blast. There are also contests, live music and plenty of patriotism to pass around!
Options for Independence Day
Dana Point’s Doheny State Beach is usually beloved for some of the best whale watching in the world, but come July it’s the go-to spot for fireworks lovers. The lengthy and stunning show kicks off at dusk, and the gorgeous backdrop of the ocean—perhaps with a whale sighting—makes this a romantic choice.
The OC Block Party at Angel Stadium is where revelers gather for food vendors, live entertainment and fireworks. No matter where you go in Anaheim, you’re in for a real treat as southern California celebrates the Fourth in style.
