Someone always has to ruin it for everyone. Disneyland has now banned selfie sticks on their rides. That’s right, no more fast action shots while whipping through the air. While we know it makes an excellent Facebook cover photo, it is also a bit dangerous according to the park employees. Since we know you all have made plans to get an epic picture while on Space Mountain to post for all of your friends to see on Facebook, we wanted to warn you ahead of time that your selfie stick is not allowed.
We are quite surprised at the news as we were not aware that selfie sticks were really all that popular. Of course, there are always those people who post 15 selfies a day on social media but are there really that many people?! It must be a young crowd thing…
For now, just know not to bring your selfie stick on the rides at Disneyland. Snap all the selfies you want around the park and the rest of us will just look at you and smile while shaking our heads but steer clear of the rides. You can always go the old school way of having someone take a picture for you but that may be totally 1990’s.
