Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center

Disneyland Hotel Food

The Muzeo is comprised of three areas, which are the gorgeous 1908 Carnegie Gallery, the Carnegie Plaza and Courtyard for special events, and the Muzeo Main Gallery with 25,000 square feet of space for temporary exhibits, special events and more. An extension of Carnegie Gallery, the Main Gallery opened in 2007 and is perfectly nestled into an otherwise urban environment with retail shops and luxury apartments flanking the campus.

The original Carnegie Gallery was a library and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally built with a $10,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie, it was the local library until 1963. Like all other parts of the Muzeo, it is also available for rent for private events.

Anaheim’s Cultural History

The only permanent exhibit is the History of Anaheim: A Walk Through Local History. Admission to this exhibit is always free and features artifacts such as 19th century wine and citrus farm tools, ancient Indian wares and rare pieces that were beloved by the founders of the city. You’ll find Disneyland memorabilia as well as pieces from the original Anaheim Stadium.

Nearly one million items are catalogued and available to researchers and scholars at the library. Lunch and learns, afternoon teas, workshops, lectures and more are regularly featured at Muzeo. Check the events calendar and plan your trip to discover the history and culture of Anaheim.
